Fresh Wine!

 FRESH WINE…

Hello! I trust your week is going on well and you’re still blessed by the Lord.

Today I am sharing a very insightful piece about the wonders of the Lord and FRESH Wine!

First, I would say I am so grateful to God for all the wonderful souls I have had the privilege to meet in my life and who have had a very positive impact in my life. Those that celebrate my wins genuinely, I salute you! One thing, I have never taken for granted is the wonderful souls that God connects me with, but when their time in my life lapses, then it’s a new chapter. But when I look back, I am awed at all the beautiful souls I have met in my waking life! This teaching is coming from such a place.

Back in early 2015, I was living in Ruiru, Kiambu County and was desperately looking for a job everywhere! I had just graduated in 2013 and the prospect of getting a job was really weighing me down because as I interacted with many of my campus mates whom we had graduated together with during the same year, they were already in jobs and doing well.

But there I was. G-mails, Cybers, Interviews etc were the order of the day, but nothing was bearing fruit. So, one day, a friend of mine invited me to be joining him for Thursday night prayers with the rest of the RGC Youth at the Pastor’s home just around Ruiru. So every Thursday night we’d go and the house would be jammed full of young people ready to unleash their blessings through prayers. We’d start with a cup of tea and get into prayer till around 4am then wind up with more tea to beat the cold.

One of those Thursdays, the Pastor (I can’t recall his name), he was a tall and friendly Man of God, he asked me what am praying for, and I told him am praying for a job. And that I had graduated and there was nothing good forthcoming, yet most of my course mates already had good jobs! Then he brought it out…. John 2:10 “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now”. He continued telling me how during the wedding at Cana, after the wine had been consumed and finished, Jesus through His extraordinary power, brought the best wine for the guests, MIRACLES! That, God has reserved the best for ME too.

Well, I didn’t quite understand the whole story, so when I got to my house later, I read through the chapter and tried to break it down. But it was still “not entering”.

But today, it’s quite evident.

That God did reserve the best for me. Its at such a time that I can relate, that indeed, God is the author of FRESH Wine. I am working with an organization that is a miracle to me, workmates who are so loving and an environment that is so ambient! Thank you, Lord, This can only be you.

Sometimes, we may be bogged down by circumstances and comparing ourselves with others. Its human nature, but could we pause for one second and maybe ponder at what God is doing in your life when He makes you wait for what He has in store for you? Sometimes the process of waiting is ordained by God to transform us and change our character.

Maybe if I would have gotten a job immediately after graduation, I wouldn’t have been transformed into someone who lives for His glory. Because, today everything I do, has got to be Christ-glorified. If God is not being glorified, I am not in it.

The same case applies to the marital destiny. I know for sure; God has reserved the best of the best for me. As I type this today, I’ll come back to the same piece and testify, that He sure reserved the best Man for me.

Don’t you worry for one second, why the delay, don’t even frown and compare yourself with others, just have faith and trust that God is still the miracle worker. He is telling you today, “Fill the jars with water,” “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet”. Fill your hearts with His Power and let Him work in your life. Let Him bring the Life giving water into your lives, so that you will never thirst again.

It doesn’t matter whether you feel that you’re so left behind, no job, no business, no marriage etcetera.

Pause right there and know for sure that Jesus Christ, is the same yesterday, today and forever, and today He is working in your life to bring out some fresh wine.

And people will come around you and exclaim “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best until now”

Yours will be Fresh Wine!

Be encouraged!

God bless you!
